Holy Trinity wins school track and field championship, Tagwi second
At last week's SD&G high school track and field championships in Ottawa, Holy Trinity CSS won the overall school title, with 454 points, ahead of Tagwi, which had 418.
L'Heritage was third, followed by St. Joseph's, CCVS, North Dundas, Char-Lan, Glengarry, Seaway, St. Lawrence, and la Citadelle.

Tagwi Intermediate School athletes compete in track and field
OFSAA track and field day three morning results
Two Tagwi athletes competed this morning at OFSAA track and field, in Belleville.
Annie Bender placed 12th overall in the junior girls high jump. Rylan Iwachniuk captured 9th in the midget boys discus.
This afternoon, Le Relais' Eric Cumberbatch will compete in the midget boys triple jump, and Char-Lan's Brennan Seguin will battle the province's best in the senior boys pole vault.

GDHS' Jeaurond runs to 9th-place result at OFSAA track
Competing in the midget girls 400 m race, Glengarry DHS' Kady Jeaurond placed sixth in the province, finishing with a time of 59.46 seconds. The race winner crossed the line at 56.68 seconds.
A number of other county athletes competed today at OFSAA track and field in Belleville too. We will have the full story in next week's edition of The Glengarry News.
OFSAA track and field day one report for local athletes
Three athletes from the county were in action at OFSAA track and field in Belleville, yesterday.
Char-Lan DHS' Jake Vanderburg competed in the midget boys pole vault, placing 9th.
Another Char-Lan athlete, Julie Richard, who qualified for two events, finished 13th in the junior girls triple jump yesterday. She will also compete in junior girls long jump.
And GDHS' Kady Jeaurond completed her heat run in the midget girls 400 m run, placing second to advance to the final. She will also be running in the 200 m event.
The track and field meet continues today and tomorrow.
Cumberbatch among local athletes qualified for OFSAA track and field
The May 31 edition of The Glengarry News includes a story about local high school athletes who have qualified for OFSAA track and field, which will be held later this week in Belleville.
Among them are East Regionals gold medallist and senior boys pole vault record-setter Brennan Seguin, from Char-Lan. Other Crusaders, as well as athletes from GDHS, Tagwi, and Le Relais earned qualification results too and will advance to the provincial meet.
