In announcing the October Performers of the Month in the CCHL2 (Westport player Blake Kettyle, Ottawa West goaltender Miguel Daoust, and Ottawa rookie Noel de Kemp), the league also delivered honourable mentions to a pair of Alexandria Glens.
Mikael Gibault was recognized in the player category, while Mathieu Parent was identified amongst the rookies.
Your county's junior 'B' hockey teams both prevailed today, in rare Sunday CCHL2 action, in Glengarry.
The Char-Lan Rebels, playing in Williamstown, topped the Whitewater Kings 3-2, in a game decided by way of a shootout. Up north in Alexandria, the Glens doubled the Westport Rideaus 6-3.

Both of the county's CCHL2 hockey teams prevailed tonight.
For the Char-Lan Rebels, the win came on home ice, a 1-0 decision over the Ottawa West Golden Knights.
The Alexandria Glens triumphed on the road, beating the Whitewater Kings 7-4.
Both teams have rare Sunday action on tap for Oct. 21. At 3:30 p.m., the Rebels will host the Kings, and starting at 4 p.m., the Glens will entertain the Westport Rideaus.

In game two of their five-game road trip, the Alexandria Glens of the CCHL2 on Tuesday suffered a 10-2 loss to the unbeaten Ottawa, Jr. Canadians.
Next home action is set for Oct. 21.
In between, the Glens have games in Richmond, Casselman, and Cobden (Whitewater).
