Glengarry District High School's senior boys soccer team followed up its SD&G championship by winning the 'A' division at EOSSAA today. We will have all the details in next week's edition of The News, as the boys get ready to head to OFSAA.

Last Sunday saw the Glengarry Gaels tyke football team improve to 3-0 in the season, with a narrow 45-43 win over a team from Cornwall. Connor Hamelin accounted for the entirety of Glengarry's scoring.
The bantam Gaels were humbled 33-0 by the Wildcats, dropping Glengarry's record to 1-1-1.

The 2019 house league spring tackle football season is scheduled to hit the gridiron on Sunday, with games in Alexandria and Cornwall.
The field at GDHS will host a trio of Glengarry Gaels games, versus respective Cornwall #3 squads: tykes at 10 a.m., mosquitoes at 11:30 a.m., and bantams at 1 p.m.
There is no Glengarry team at the peewee level, though the Cornwall #1 peewees include Glengarry players and coaches. That squad is slated to play at CCVS, at noon.
The Glengarry Gaels spring youth tackle football teams are preparing for the fast-approaching season, set to kick off on May 12.
Unfortunately, numbers dictated that the Gaels will not be able to field a team at the peewee level. Glengarry's entries into the league this year are tyke, mosquito, and bantam squads, which play in a loop with Cornwall Wildcats teams.
The players have been working out indoors over recent weeks, but are scheduled to get outdoor field practice as of Monday.
The 2019 season of spring league youth tackle football is around the corner, with the Glengarry Gaels and Cornwall Wildcats currently registering players for their slate of teams. For information on the Gaels, please see their advertisement in the March 20 issue of The Glengarry News.
It has been confirmed that the tradition of minor football games under the lights at the Maxville Fair will continue again this year. Participating teams will be confirmed closer to the date.
