The junior hockey season officially ended Tuesday night

An otherwise terrific season came to a disppointing halt Tuesday night on home ice at the Sports Palace where the Junior B Glens were swept in the EOJBHL championship final series by Ottawa West.

The 3-2 loss in game four was the closest contest of the series, as the Golden Knights iced a disciplined system that the Glens were unable to counter.

As one of the team's board members, Jim Picken, puts it, "Too bad about the loss last night; however, the organization and team should be very proud of the accomplishments made this season." As well, he thanks everyone who contributed to the Glens' fine season, adding, " Let's get started on next year."

Among Alexandria's accomplisments this year, the team was first in the regular season St. Lawrence Division standings, won the division playoff title against Char-Lan, and captured the conference division title versus Gananoque.
