Williamstown athlete called up to play soccer for Canada again

Christina Julien, aged 21, of Williamstown will once again wear the maple leaf, having been called up for Canada's upcoming friendly against the USA.

The much honoured student-athlete at James Madison University in Virginia and graduate of Char-Lan DHS will play for Canada's national women's soccer team for the second time, having suited up earlier this spring in the Cyprus Cup where she scored a goal.

Her next outing will come on home soil, playing Monday, May 25 in Toronto at BMO Field against the American side.  For soccer fans who cannot make it to Toronto for the match, it will be televised on Sportsnet.

Look for Julien to be a starting forward with veteran captain Christine Sinclair.  The duo was dynamite in Europe.  The Glengarrian will be wearing #11.
