GDHS senior girls score soccer gold at OFSAA

 Today at the provincial 'A' high school soccer championship, the senior girls team from Glengarry District High School won the gold medal, taking top honours for the second time in five years.

Over the course of this year's tournament, the Gaels allowed just one goal against in six games played, while generally dominating offensively as well.  On day one, the girls scored 21 goals in two games, adding 12 more on day two and four markers in action today. The gold medal match pitted GD against Villanova College this afternoon, with the Gaels, the tourney's second seed, coming out on top with a 1-0 decision to capture the Ontario high school championship.
