Julien to play for Canada again
Williamstown's Christina Julien will again join Canada's national women's soccer team as it travels south of the border for a two-game series against the Americans.
The graduate of Char-Lan District High School and member of the Cometes de Laval W-League team will be part of a 24-player roster that is scheduled to play July 19 in Rochester, New York, and then on July 22 in Charleston, South Carolina.
That second match will be carried live on Rogers Sportsnet with an 8 p.m. kickoff affording soccer fans the opportunity to see Julien and the 11th-ranked Canadian side take on the USA.
Julien scored a goal in her first ever game for Canada earlier this spring in the Cyprus Cup. The athlete has garnered a plethora of honours over three years playing in Virginia at James Madison University, and she currently leads her Laval W-League team in scoring.
