Kids can experience lacrosse weekly in Alexandria

A developmental youth lacrosse program takes over the floor at the Glengarry Sports Palace in Alexandria each Tuesday night this summer , and the organizer encourages kids to come out and give the sport a try.
Don MacRae says his goal is to help area youngsters learn the game as he leads a weekly program that runs from 8 to 9:30 p.m.
Kids are asked to bring helmets and gloves, but all other lacrosse equipment is provided. The program is open to boys and girls of any age, and adults are invited to join the fun helping the kids on the floor. For more information, call the arena at 613-525-3600.
