IN CELEBRATION OF WOMEN: Following the afternoon gala during this year’s
edition of Journée de la Femme, held Sunday at Le Relais, the audience was held
spellbound by a performance by powerful singer and dancer Djoléï Justine Gogoua
and her troupe of singers, percussionists and dancers. Her colourful show "Tam Tam
Mama" explored the theme of women and violence through song, dance, mask and
drumming. Originally from the Ivory Coast, Ms. Gogoua mesmerized from the first
moment she stepped onstage, transporting her audience to the heart of Africa. For
