Williamstown serves up run, heavyweight events on Sunday

The Williamstown Fair is taking over the South Glengarry community this weekend, with Sunday offering up a run along the Raisin River and a Scottish Heavyweights competition as part of the final day of activities.

The 31st running of the Great Raisin River Foot Race includes a 5 km run and an 11 km run, but kicks off with a kids fun run at 8:45 a.m.  The other runs that follow the course of the Raisin River from the fairgrounds west begin at 9 a.m. and 9:05 a.m. respectively.  For more details, visit the foot race website here.

Adjacent to The Meeting Place, there will be a Heavyweights competition starting at 10 a.m., though Lee MacKinnon will be offering a demonstration and instruction to interested members of the public at 9 a.m.
