The Glengarry News High School Curling Challenge set for Friday in Lancaster

The 11th annual Glengarry News High School Curling Challenge is booked for Friday, Dec. 11, at the Lancaster Curling Club. Student-athletes from Char-Lan, GDHS, Holy Trinity, and Le Relais will be on the ice, playing in a day-long bonspiel. Each school will have two mixed teams in the event, playing for points and bragging rights, as well as the coveted trophy.

GDHS enters as the two-time defending champion. Holy Trinity has finished as the runners-up the last two years.

The competition is slated to begin at 8:30 a.m., running through to approximately 2:30 p.m., when the trophy and medals will be presented. Parents and friends are welcome to attend to cheer on the kids.
