Cornwall Midget AAA rides goaltending of Craig to victory over Carleton Place midget AAA, 3-1
A stellar performance between the pipes by Grant Craig helped the Cornwall midget AAA Colts defeat the Carleton Place Canadians, 3-1, in Jan. 19 HEO action.
Cornwall was led by Alec Seguin, who registered one goal. Seguin scored 4:51 into the third period to make the score 2-1 for the Colts. Mathew Harrington picked up the assist.
Cornwall additionally got points from Joseph Samson, who scored once and added one assist. Ethan Mulhearn also scored for the midget Colts. Other assists were netted by Samuel Ferland, Ryan Lamer, and Noah Konink.
Carleton Place had just one minor penalty in the game, below their season average of 12.0 PIM per game. The Canadians' offence rang up 38 shots on the Colts' net, with Craig stopping 37 of them.
The Colts incurred four minutes in penalty time, on two minors.

The midget AAA Colts sit at the bottom of their division with a record of 6-26-3-0. The team is operated by the CCHL Colts, its roughly half its roster are Glengarry boys. Just two home games (at Cornwall's multi-sport complex) remain on the schedule this season, with the team booked to skate Feb. 13 at 2pm and March 5 at 3:15pm.
