Power outage disrupts Glens playoff game, postponing third period

Fans at last night's Alexandria junior B Glens playoff hockey game with the Winchester Hawks at the Glengarry Sports Palace saw the teams skate out of the first period with a 1-1 tie. The second period was scoreless, and then, during the intermission, the lights went out, forcing the postponement of the game.

The plan is to play the third period on Sunday at 8pm in Alexandria, when game three was scheduled to start.

Game two will be in Winchester on Friday at 8:15pm.

Then on Sunday, Feb. 28, at 8pm, the teams will pick up where they left off in game one. If the team that wins the second game also wins the continuation of game one, then the series will be done, the winner advancing to the next round. If it turns out the teams split their results, then they will play game three Sunday night.
