Awards for junior A Hawks

The Hawkesbury Hawks recently presented their team awards, following a successful finish to the 2015-16 regular season. This past year saw the Hawks finish third overall in the CCHL and second in the Robinson Division only 3 points behind the first-place Carleton Place Canadians. 

Charles Levesque was ninth in CCHL scoring and first in rookie scoring. Chris Smith committed to Mercyhurst and finished 13th in CCHL scoring and 5th in goals. Cole Skinner completed the year second in GAA, and Jonathan Kovacevic finished ninth in defensive scoring.

League honours

The Hawkesbury Hawks Jr. 'A' hockey team  was well represented in this year's CCHL annual awards.

Hawks' leading scorer, Charles Levesque, was named the CCHL Rookie of the Year, as well as being named to the CCHL All Academic Team and All-Rookie Team. Levesque led all CCHL rookies in scoring with 61 points and was named Rookie of the Month twice and Academic Player of the Month once.  

Hawkesbury general manager Ian Henderson was named CCHL General Manager of the Year and to the 1st All-Star Team.  Currently in his fifth season as GM, he was named to the 2nd All-Star Team in 2010-11 when the team went to the CCHL semifinals. 

Lastly, defenceman Johnathan Kovacevic was named to the CCHL 3rd All Star Team.
