81-year-old charged with 1960s assaults

An 81-year-old South Glengarry man has been charged with a series of assaults that allegedly occurred between 1963 and 1967.
Members of the Stormont-Dundas-Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police detachment made the arrest this week.
The man, whose name is being withheld in order to protect  the identity of the victims, has been charged with 13 counts of assault, six counts of assault causing bodily harm, three counts of indecent assault, buggery, assault with a weapon, pointing a firearm without lawful excuse, uttering threats and mischief.
He was released on a promise to appear  in Cornwall court April 26.
