GSL men's final series opens Wednesday night

The Drillers and Greenfield will battle for the Glengarry Soccer League's senior men's title, starting Aug. 26 in Greenfield at 8:30 p.m.
Future games in the series are scheduled for Aug. 28 at the Island Park in Alexandria and Aug. 31 back in Greenfield. Other games will be played Sept. 2 and 4 if needed.
The Drillers qualified for the final by beating Char-Lan in two straight matches in the best-of-three semifinal series, while Greenfield was pushed to the limit against McCrimmon, eventually winning a double-overtime thriller in game three to earn a chance at the championship.
