Peewee Wildcats advance to final

Last Sunday in their final regular season game, the Peewee 138 Motor and Tire Sales Cornwall Wildcats held their own against the Mews Orleans Bengals, winning the game 25-23.  This marks the first time ever that a NCAFA Peewee  team from Cornwall advances into the A/B final round.

The offensive line, led by Joel Cheffer stood strong once again, allowing quarterback Jeremy Pike to air out the ball to wide receiver Chris Millward for a touchdown.  Cornwall’s other two majors came from running backs Rhyland Taylor and Justin Cloutier.  Kicker Bailey Malyon pitched in with a game-winning field goal in the third quarter.  Cornwall’s defence was flying around the whole game, with two sacks of the quarterback -- one by Curtis Girouard and the other by Travis Gaspe.  The entire defence played a spectacular game, giving the ball back to the offence numerous times. Girouard and Alex Guindon also recovered two live balls on kickoffs.
