Alexandria goes for another league championship
For the fourth straight year, the Alexandria Junior B Glens are in the EOJHL championship series, looking to make a statement in 2010 and bounce back from finishing as runners-up a season ago.
In what has been a playoff quirk this year, the Glens, for the fourth series in a row, dropped the opener, as the final series kicked off over the weekend in Ottawa against the Junior Canadians. In each of the past three series, though, Alexandria rebounded to win four straight, though in the conference finals, the Glens did lose the first two matches before winning the next four.
In game one of the finals last Saturday, the Glens were felled 6-2.
Game two goes tonight in Alexandria at 8 p.m., with game three on Tuesday night in Ottawa, and game four back in Alexandria on Friday night.
