The Annual Battle of Glengarry returns to the Glengarry Pioneer Museum in Dunvegan, where the early history of Upper Canada, comes to life.
September 26 and 27, re-enactors will once again return with their muskets, cannons and campfires to recreate the 1812-1814 conflict on the museum grounds.
Battles will be staged at 3 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.
Six years since its inception, the museum’s 1812 event has thrilled and delighted audiences both young and old. Even the re-enactors are captivated by the irresistible charm of rural Glengarry and they bring their families to bivouac for the entire weekend.
