Colts star forward Konnor MacCormick has been named to the CJHL Prospects Game. NHL scouts decide which 40 draft-eligible junior 'A' players make up the East versus West one-game showcase.

MacCormick replaces Logan Johnston from the MHLs Dieppe Commandos who joined the Moncton Wildcats of the QMJHL last week. MacCormick, from South Stormont, has 10 goals and 10 assists for 20 points in 38 game so far this season with the Cornwall Colts.

“I’ve worked hard and it’s nice to see the hard work is paying off,” said MacCormick. “The intensity of our Colts practices has been good preparation for the combine.”

MacCormick joins five other CCHL stars on the East team, which will be guest coached by Colts and NHL Alumni Chad Kilger. Jesse Winchester, also a Colts and NHL Alumni will be the guest coach for Team West.

NHL scouts from every team will watch MacCormick and 39 other top junior 'A' draft-eligible players from across Canada go through a pre-scheduled combine, as well as play in the Prospects Game.

The CJHL Prospects Game is scheduled for Wednesday, January 25 at 7:30pm at the Ed Lumley Arena (Cornwall Civic Complex). Tickets are $10 (adults) and $5 (Children 12 & Under), and are available at the Civic Complex box office (613-938-9400) or by e-mailing David Murphy (dmurphy@bensonorg.com).
