The Celtics finished the Glengarry Soccer League's tier 2 men's regular season atop the table, with 22 points, four better than McCrimmon. Greenfield ended up third (13), followed by Glen Nevis (12).

The schedule wrapped up on Monday, when Glen Nevis and Greenfield played to a 1-1 draw, while the Celtics pasted McCrimmon 5-1.

A week previous, the Celtics blanked Glen Nevis 5-0, and Greenfield shut out McCrimmon 4-0.

A week later, the second batch of each series will be played in North Lancaster and Alexandria, respectively. Should a third match be needed, it will go on Aug. 31, in Williamstown and Lochiel.
