Junior B Glens drop penalty-laden road contest

sean Nov 30, 2018 - 3:33pm

Thursday night in the CCHL2 saw the Alexandria Glens and Ottawa West Golden Knights combine for 162 minutes in penalties, as the Knights dealt the Glens a 6-1 loss.

The bulk of the sin bin time was collected at the 8:58 mark of the third period, when two players from each team were handed game misconduct penalties in addition to fighting majors and other infractions. In all, four players from the Glens were involved in the brouhaha and three from the Knights.

The penalties racked up by the Alexandria squad add to their already league-leading total.

The boys continue on the road tonight, scheduled to skate in Embrun, at 8 p.m.

Tomorrow, Dec. 1, the Glens will host a Berlin (Germany) junior hockey team. Game time at the Glengarry Sports Palace is set for 8 p.m.
