Senior 'A' EOSSAA soccer will take place May 27 and May 28, with teams from the county seeded on top.

For the boys, the SD&G champion Glengarry Gaels, who capped off a perfect league season last week by claiming the SDGAA playoff title, are ranked first in a six-team field for the regional tournament.

Day one matches are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. (versus Notre Dame) and 12:30 p.m. (against St. Michael). The top two squads from pool play will advance to day two semifinal action, set for 10:30 a.m. The championship game is booked for a 2 p.m. start.

On the girls side, le Relais claimed the PRSSAA championship last fall and has been eager to hit the field to compete at EOSSAA. Les Rapides are ranked first. The SDGAA entrant is la Citadelle.

Le Relais day one action is slated for 8 a.m. (versus Ernestown) and 11:00 a.m. (against Rideau). Semifinals on the second day are set for 9 a.m., with the girls championship game booked for a 12:30 p.m. start.

EOSSAA is being hosted by St. Michael Catholic High School, with the games to be played at South Gower Park (669 South Gower Dr., Kemptville). The game format will be two 40-minute halves.

Finalists amongst the boys and girls (EOSSAA winners and runners-up) will qualify for OFSAA.
