Tagwi Secondary Schools junior Warriors girls volleyball team completed the SDGAA regular season atop the standings, earning the right the host the 'A' playoff tournament, which is scheduled for Monday, February 11.
The qualifiers and their seeds are as follows: 1st Tagwi, 2nd la Citadelle, 3rd North Dundas, 4th Heritage, 5th Glengarry, 6th Char-Lan
The day's schedule will begin with North Dundas playing Char-Lan at 10:30 a.m, followed by a match between Heritage and Glengarry, starting approximately 11:30 a.m. The host Warriors will first see action at 12:45 p.m., playing the lowest remaining seed in the first semifinal match. La Citadelle gets the other semi, at 1:45 p.m, versus the remaining quarter-finalist.
The championship match is booked for a 3 p.m. start.
All matches are best two of three sets.
The senior 'A' playoffs are scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 14, at Heritage. See the next edition of The Glengarry News for details.
'AA' playoffs will be contested on Tuesday, Feb. 12, at either CCVS or St. Joseph's. (Location to be confirmed)
Updating our story in this week's edition of The Glengarry News, the LHSAO Cornwall Prowlers will play one more regular-season game, a make-up contest in Maniwaki. Here are the details from the Prowlers announcement:
The Cornwall Prowlers will finish their regular season on Sunday, February 17th at 5 p.m. in Maniwaki.
The Prowlers are in third place with one game remaining. Your Prowlers' playoff position is unknown as the standings are too close.
What we can tell you is the wildcard fourth and fifth place 2 out of 3 series will take place on the February 22-24 weekend.
Semifinals: first vs wild card winner and second vs third will begin on the March 1-3 weekend. Semifinals will be 3 out of 5, and finals 4 out of 7.
Update: This game was postponed due to weather and road conditions. It has been rescheduled to Wednesday, Feb. 13, at 8:30 p.m.
The CCHL2 Alexandria Glens are scheduled to play in Winchester tonight, unless Mother Nature has other ideas. The contest is set for a 7:45 p.m. start.

In a blast from the past, do you remember when the team sported this logo?
In rare CCHL2 Tuesday night action in Williamstown, the Char-Lan Rebels came out on the wrong side of a 4-3 decision with the Westport Rideaus.
The Rebs scored once in each period, with markers from Evan Huntley, Liam MacDonald, and Reese Donnelly. Shane Gaudreau, MacDonald, Huntley, Isaac Testani, Justice Brownlee, and Taran Fiacco had the assists. Julien Cholette took the loss between the pipes, making 38 saves.
Next action for the Rebels is booked for Friday night, in Winchester.

With school bus cancellations on Monday and Tuesday, convenors of SD&G high school sports have had to re-jig some schedules, including boys basketball.
Today, Feb. 6, St. Joseph's (Cornwall) is scheduled to host a tri-meet that includes senior and junior teams from Holy Trinity and St. Lawrence.
There's also a tri-meet in Williamstown, featuring Char-Lan, CCVS, and la Citadelle senior and junior squads. This event had originally been scheduled for yesterday.
Tomorrow, Feb. 7, a tri-meet is booked for Winchester, where North Dundas, Glengarry, and Seaway senior and junior teams will see action. With poor weather forecast, convenors have a contingency. Should school buses be cancelled, this tournament will be moved to Feb. 11.
On Friday, Feb. 8, Char-Lan will host St. Lawrence in junior and senior matches, set to begin at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., respectively.
'AA' playoffs are slated for Monday, Feb. 11. We will post details to our website once confirmed.
Tuesday, Feb. 12 will see a tri-meet take place at St. Lawrence, with the Saints taking on Tagwi and l'Heritage. This is a tournament that was originally booked for Feb. 4.
The 'A' playoffs will take place on Thursday, Feb. 14.
There will be a CCHL2 hockey game in Williamstown tonight, as a rescheduled match will have the Char-Lan Rebels hosting the Westport Rideaus, at 8:15 p.m.
