Remi Elie, who has toiled the better part of the last two seasons in the AHL, will get his chance tonight on the big stage, scheduled to skate with the Dallas Stars on the NHL, when they compete in Miami, versus the Florida Panthers. The 21-year-old from Green Valley will have his parents, Sylvain and Rachel, in the stands cheering him on.
Game time is set for 7pm. Fans of Elie will need access to NHL Gamecentre or the NHL cable/satellite TV package in order to watch the action.
We will have the story in the next edition of The Glengarry News.
Here's a video clip of Dallas Stars head coach Lindy Ruff, as well as Elie.
Green Valley's Remi Elie is racking up the points as a member of the OHL Erie Otters. Since being traded to the club from Belleville, Elie has notched 25 points in 18 games and has a +18 rating.
Tonight, he and his teammates will be playing in Owen Sound.
