Dunvegan B&E Case

A 27-year-old Mississauga man charged with break and enter, as well as possession of a stolen vehicle, following a break-in at a Dunvegan-area residence this past winter, next appears in Cornwall court, via video, on August 4.
Weston Rumble initially entered a guilty plea in Cornwall court on June 25, but his case has been remanded four times – to July 14, 22, 24, and 27, respectively – since.

A 27-year-old Mississauga man has been charged with break and enter after police surrounded a Dunvegan home and blocked a section of County Road 34 Friday afternoon.
Weston Rumble will appear in court Monday.
Police say the incident began when a man was observed in the residence by an occupant returning to the home at about 3 p.m.

Update: Incident ends peacefully

A man has been arrested without incident following a break-in at a Dunvegan home Friday afternoon.
Police were called at about 3 p.m. when the suspect was observed in the residence by an occupant of the home. After containing the area, officers arrested the man at approximately 5:30 p.m.
A section of County Road 34 between Concession 8 (Laggan Road) and County Road 24 which had been closed to traffic has been re-opened.
