The SD&G high school boys basketball season opens on Monday, Nov. 27, with a pair of games, including the boys from Char-Lan playing at La Citadelle, beginning at 1 p.m.
Nov. 28 games of interest have GDHS at St. Lawrence, and Holy Trinity visiting Tagwi. Both events are 1 p.m. starts.
The Glengarry News will again be providing full coverage of league play throughout the season.

Today, at Cornwall's Holy Trinity CSS, the Glengarry DHS Gaels claimed the high school cross-country running SD&G championship. The Gaels also won the overall boys title, as well as division crowns in junior girls, junior boys, and senior boys.
The host Falcons placed second overall. They also took the girls championship and division titles in midget girls and senior girls.
The Glengarry News was there covering the event and taking photographs of the action. We will have a story in the newspaper next week.
Today, our sports editor took in the action at a high school senior girls basketball game, as Holy Trinity hosted Tagwi. A video clip (which was recorded live at the game) can be viewed here.
