The Cornwall Colts of the CCHL have traded for 18-year-old defenceman Evan Huntley, sending a player development fee in return to the Navan Grads.
The Long Sault native is listed at 6 ft. 1 in., 190 lb. He played nine games with the Grads last season and 47 contests with the Char-Lan Rebels junior 'B' team.
"We’re looking to be deeper with talent on defence, and Evan fits the bill," says Colts head coach Ian MacInnis.
The Cornwall Colts training camp is scheduled to begin Monday, August 20, at the Ed Lumley Arena, in Cornwall Civic Complex.
Regular-season play begins at the league-wide showcase, in Kanata, on Saturday, September 1.
Cornwall's home opener is slated for Thursday, September 6, at 7:30 p.m.
