The second tournament of the season for high school junior football will take place Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Glengarry DHS, where the host Gaels will entertain Gananoque and St. Joseph's (Cornwall), beginning at noon.

One might be left to wonder if a high school football game between the Tagwi Warriors and CCVS Raiders will actually hit the gridirion this season. Originally scheduled for later this month, the contest was moved forward to yesterday, Oct. 2, but there were no referees available, so the game couldn't go on.
The latest update has it being played Friday, Oct. 5, at noon, at Tagwi SS.
Speaking of changes, the Glengarry Gaels game scheduled for Friday has been postponed to a date yet to be determined.
Last night in Cornwall, Catholic teams la Citadelle and St. Joseph's played in the annual Rose Bowl game, a charitable match in support of breast cancer research and support programs. The Panthers won the game 30-5.
Amongst the latest galleries of images posted to our website are photos from the Sept. 26 high school football game between the Glengarry Gaels and Holy Trinity Falcons, as well as the SD&G tennis championships which were held a day later in Alexandria.

It was a good weekend for the NCAFA Cornwall Wildcats football teams, as three of the four squads garnered victories.
The lone blemish came from the peewees, who led at halftime, only to fall in the end, 27-25.
The tyke 2 team won its match against the Bell Warriors 46-24, and the mosquito Wildcats scored a 46-0 shut-out triumph.
Tyke 1 played against the Mustangs, finishing with a 70-32 victory.
In week two NCAFA football action, the Cornwall Wildcats mosquito and peewee teams both had byes, while the tykes prevailed over their opponents.
Tyke 2 beat Nepean Eagles 42-26, playing at Nepean’s home field, and Tyke 1 beat South Ottawa Mustangs 68-36, in Cornwall.
The county is well represented, with players on each of the Wildcats rosters.
