The newest sports photo galleries are now online here, showcasing images from the Glengarry Soccer League men's indoor championship series, men's playoff flag football, le Relais hockey, and Glengarry Cup curling in Lancaster.
The spring football season opens this week for the four Glengarry Gaels youth teams, with indoor practice sessions.
The tykes (ages 7-9) run practices on Thursdays, in gym 1 at Alexandria's GDHS, and Fridays at VCI in Vankleek Hill. Times are 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Mosquitos (ages 10-11) practise in Alexandria., at Elda Rouleau on Mondays and in GDHS gym 1 on Wednesdays. Times are 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Peewee players (ages 12-13) practise in Alexandria, on Mondays at Le Relais and Thursdays at GDHS (gym 2/3). Times are 7:30 to 9 p.m.
The bantams (ages 14-16) workout Mondays at Elda Rouleau (7:30 to 9 p.m.), Wednesdays in gym 3 at GDHS (6 to 7:30 p.m.), and Fridays at VCI in Vankleek Hill (7:30 to 9 p.m.).

All three Cornwall Wildcats football teams will be playing in the NCAFA 'A' semifinals this weekend.
Last Sunday, the tyke Wildcats hosted the Gatineau Vikings, prevailing 32-7. Among the Glengarry contingent, Ben Jackman had his customary strong game on defence. Other county boys on the squad are Elliott Keenan, Payton Savenco, Kingston Savenco, Andrew Wiltshire, Nacky Shareck, and Nathan Wood.
Cornwall's mosquitos won their quarter-final game versus the North Gloucester Giants with a 32-20 effort. The roster includes county boys Travis Brisebois and Connor McDougall.
The peewees beat the Belair Lions 27-20. Glengarry members of the team are Cooper Jackman, Oliver Keenan, and Cameron Belisle.
This weekend's semifinal action will have the tykes on the road against the Kanata Knights, while the peewees will be in Ottawa to play the Myers Riders.
The mosquito Wildcats get to play their semifinal on home turf at Joe St. Denis Field, booked to host the Cumberland Panthers.

A busy sports weekend in Glengarry county kicks off Friday, with high school football at Tagwi and GDHS. The evening features the junior 'A' Hawks skating in another CCHL game at the Glengarry Sports Palace.
On Saturday, the annual Hearts / Brian Filion soccer tournament takes place in Alexandria, and that night there's junior 'B' hockey in both Alexandria and Williamstown, as the Glens and Rebels host respective matches.
