The boys hockey team from Char-Lan DHS suffered its first loss of the season, dropping its record to 9-1, but will still host league playoffs next week.
In Feb. 20 action at the Long Sault arena, the top-ranked Crusaders beat North Dundas 5-2, before falling 3-2 to La Citadelle, a team that finishes out of the playoff picture.

As the top seed, Char-Lan will host the SDGAA playoff tournament in Williamstown, on Feb. 27, starting at 9 a.m. when the Crusaders will take on fourth-place Seaway. At 10:30 a.m., second-place St. Joseph's will play North Dundas is the other semifinal.
The championship match is booked for a 1 p.m. start.
Unlike most high school sports, in hockey, 'A' and 'AA' ranked teams compete for the same playoff title and for the right to go on to a combined A/AA EOSSAA.
Cornwall's St. Lawrence High School will host a day of boys basketball playoff action for 'A' division teams on Tuesday, Feb. 13, starting at 9 a.m.
The opening match will have Char-Lan's fourth-ranked junior team taking on the host Saints. At 10:30 a.m., the other junior semifinal, featuring third-seeded Tagwi and second-ranked Glengarry, will hit the hardwood.
Then it's on to the senior semis.
First up, at noon, La Citadelle (fourth seed) will take on St. Lawrence (first), and at 1:30 p.m., Glengarry (third) will play Tagwi (second).
The junior championship game is slated for a 3 p.m. start, followed by the senior title tilt at 4:30 p.m.
Thursday in Alexandria, the senior and junior boys basketball teams at GDHS strutted their stuff, dropping a pair of close contests to tradition powerhouse St. Joseph's.

GDHS and UCDSB will be live broadcasting from the Gaels' soccer field on Wednesday, May 24, showcasing games played there as part of the boys 'A' EOSSAA tournament. Matches will also take place through the day on the field at the Glengarry Sports Palace, but a live web feed won't be available.

The boys hockey team from Le Relais is skating in Alexandria today at their pre-Franco tournament, their final action before heading off to compete at the provincial Francophone event, the Tournoi Franco-Ontarien.

Today, Dec, 20, Tagwi is scheduled to host junior and senior boys high school basketball matches, starting at 4pm. L'Heritage will provide the opposition.
Tomorrow, Holy Trinity is booked to host Rothwell-Osnabruck's senior team at 1pm. The Lancers will then play again at 2:30, against CCVS at Holy Trinity.
Also on Dec. 21, GDHS' junior and senior teams are slated to play at L'Heritage in Cornwall, beginning at 4pm.
Playoff action in the SDGAA boys high school 'A' division volleyball are set for Monday, with the senior event hosted by L'Heritage in Cornwall, and the junior battle at GDHS in Alexandria. The 'AA' championships will go on Thursday. Here are the details.
