The junior 'A' Cornwall Colts will next see action on home ice Thursday, Feb, 1, when the team will host the Kanata Lasers, at 7:30 p.m.
Last Thursday night, the Colts prevailed in overtime 4-3 against Smiths Falls, as JD Pogue potted a pair of goals and chalked up an assist.
Josh Barnes had a goal and one helper. Tommy Tanner also scored. Liam Lascelle made 24 saves for the victory, as the Colts outshot the Bears 30-27.
For the second home game in a row, the Hardest Working Colts Player was the county's own Ethan Mulhearn. Three Stars were first JD Pogue (COR), second Josh Barnes (COR), and third Ethan Coltart (SF).
Prior to the game, Liam Lascelle was recognized for becoming the Cornwall Colts franchise leader in wins, saves, and games played. All three milestones were accomplished in the last month of Colts games.
Two days later in Ottawa, the Colts edged the Senators 2-1.
The team is scheduled to play tonight on the road, in Nepean to wrap up the January schedule.
