With the league-leading Ottawa Jr. Canadians waiting in the wings, the deciding match of the CCHL2 wildcard series will hit the ice tonight in Alexandria, with the Glens hosting the Char-Lan Rebels, at the Glengarry Sports Palace, beginning at 8 p.m.

The first and second games of the series were both close.

The opener, in Alexandria, was a 1-0 win for the Rebels, where Char-Lan goaltender Grant Craig stood on his head and made 34 saves in the shut-out victory.

Game two, in Williamstown last night, went into overtime, where the Glens prevailed, 4-3, the winning marker notched on a power play.

This series was expected to be close, as the clubs split four games during the course of the regular season.
