Aside from the coach, the squad includes a slew of county players, such as the goaltending tandem of Nicholas Heinzle and Joe Vrbetic. Others are defencemen Brendon Watson and John Richer, along with forwards Ethan Attridge and Innes Thomson.

Groups have had to ante up a pile of cash to bid for franchises in the new league, with a decision of the successful teams expected to be announced soon, likely this week.
At minor council, a vote is expected on a proposal to expand the current midget 'AAA' hockey league to 12 teams, from its current eight, in order to line up with the 12 clubs that make up the CCHL. The plan also calls for the elimination of the minor midget division in 'AAA' hockey and will likely have trickle down effects on 'AA' and 'A' programs as well.
