The second annual Alexandria Washer Tournament, in support of the Glengarry Memorial Hospital Foundation, will take place Saturday, Feb. 23, at the dome, running from 11 a.m. through approximately 6 p.m. Munchies and a cash bar will be available, and there's also a supper available.
Team/player registration will start at 10:30 a.m.
For the uninitiated, a washer tournament is a ring-tossing competition. First- and second-place prizes will be awarded.

The 2018 portion of the Glengarry Soccer League's winter indoor schedule concluded last Thursday night in Alexandria, where Alexandria FC trounced Pine Grove 10-4.
Scoring for the winning side were Yale Chadsey and Spencer Lordz, each with a hat trick. Also finding the net were Sullivan Van Loon and Andrew Wilkes, each with two.
Replying the other way were Colin Webster (2), Taegan Hallahan, and Tahir Ekramuzzaman.
The other Dec. 20 match saw McCrimmon prevail 4-1 over the Bar Flies, on the strength of goals from Matthew Cunningham (2), Shawn Vink, and one unidentified. Kenny MacMillan had the lone tally the other way.
The men are on hiatus from action over the Christmas holidays, scheduled to resume play January 10.
Senior men's soccer at the Alexandria dome last week featured a 5-3 win for Pine Grove over McCrimmon, led by two tallies from Taegan Hallahan. Also scoring for the victors were Andrew Caputo, Hugh Macleod, and Colin Webster, while Shawn Vink, with two, and Bruce Fraser had the McCrimmon markers.
The other Dec. 13 contest saw Alexandria FC edge the Bar Flies 4-3, on the strength of goals from Kevin Doyle, Kyle Howes, Sullivan Van Loon, and Andrew Wilkes. Scoring for the Flies were Cameron MacDonald, Lochlan MacDonald, and Hamish MacLeod.
The last action of 2018 is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 20, with games beginning at 7:30 and 8:30 p.m.
Glengarry Soccer League senior women's play at the dome last week saw the Dunvegan team blank Glen Nevis 2-0, on markers from Emily McDonald and Michelle DeRepentigny.
The other contest went into the books as a 5-2 win for Alexandria over Dalhart. Braelyn MacMaster had a pair of goals for the winning side, with others netted by Stephanie Cholette, Brooke Lapierre, and Amanda Myre. Corina Shane and Sandra Illing scored for Dalhart.
The teams are scheduled to be back in action tonight, Dec. 18, with games set for 7:30 and 8:30 p.m.
