The Glengarry Routes Heritage Tour brochure has won an Economic Developers Council of Ontario awards in the publications category.
The joint North Glengarry-South Glengarry initiative highlights heritage sites in "Ontario’s Celtic Heartland.”
North Glengarry also received an award for its Community Improvement Plan.
The honours were presented in Toronto Wednesday at the council's 61st annual conference.
"Making a difference in somebody's life is my reward," said Elaine Oetelaar, who received the Dedication and Leadership honour at the 9th annual North Glengarry Business and Community Awards Gala Thursday night. She was among nine individuals and groups saluted during the soirée at the Glengarry Sports Palace in Alexandria. More coverage in our October 5 edition.
Katherine and Alistair MacDonald, owners of Munro and Morris Funeral Homes, were announced as the winners of the Community Inclusion honour at Thursday's 8th North Glengarry Business and Community Awards Gala in Maxville.
